How much does silence say?

Of all the forms of language and expression that a person has to communicate, the least reliable is speech. So, let the silence begin.

A person with the ability to speak can, to a greater or lesser extent, corrupt the truthfulness of his words with some ease whenever he wishes.

Lying is as simple as using one word instead and giving it a value it shouldn't have. That easy. There are those who lie more than speak.

There are also those who lie better than others.

And of course, there are those who don't want to lie. But, focusing on the sincerity of the message, lying or not lying is a decision, as a rule.

Gestural language

What happens, for example, with gestural language? I mean the uncontrolled. The one that is so hard to hide.

A bad face when someone does something with which you completely disagree. Or a situation that invites an inevitable and sincere smile. Or sweating in uncomfortable or stressful situations.

The transition from natural color to a more reddish one when someone has the pleasure of being complimented ... Of course, each person's response is different. It varies in intensity, duration or nuances.

But, what these answers have in common is that they are spontaneous, difficult to repress and therefore have more true if you want to know a reaction.

Silence

And what about the silence? Is it not, perhaps, the maximum expression of inexpressive being at the same time the most revealing? In my opinion, yes. When someone wants something it can happen that it takes time to discover it, to assume it or to launch for it.

But sooner or later, if you want something you end up expressing it. And from the first moment, there are indications that this is the case, even if they are not totally clear. I believe that when the opposite happens, when something is not wanted or not needed, it is when a feeling is most evident.

Hate and rejection are manifested in a clearer way, with much more force. Without ornaments, a simple silence is often more unforgiving. Silence sends a clearer message than a long speech with innumerable points to stop at.

Silence says no or says yes, but he says it with more push, because he doesn't let himself be adorned for anything. More than a grant, silence sentences. And silence is answer, of course.

It is not absence, only that it does not let anything approach it. He doesn't let you escape. When you have no answer, silence makes clear your lack. In other places like in China, it is better value.

Here is almost an offense, we need to fill it with whatever. ‘‘ Keep speaking for God, lest I understand you ’’. It all depends on the question, eye. But if it hurts more than an insult hurts, it is because it produces a certain indifference. And being alive, the last thing someone wants is to spend a minute of silence. Or that they ask for it, please.

Silence and breathing
