If you're alive, quit the fight with the dead

Any reading of this sentence can lead to a multitude of interpretations, but I suspect that it could come in handy as a lesson to understand what should or should not be done in certain situations.

Obviously, let's think that in a literal sense it is not necessary to be dead, or to be a corpse. We all know that many people around us daily and as a result of the loss of energy, illusions, joy, enthusiasm, etc., seem dead with legs.

Everyone, absolutely everyone, has the right to fight battles with our moments of defeat and sadness, but we must try to get out of that war. We must have the same clarity to know that depressions and frustrations due to desperate events or situations will sooner or later become temporary.

However, some people, despite offering them help, never get out of the state of weakness and prostration to which they are accustomed, but pretend that we accompany them in their drama and are disgusted if you do not participate or sympathize with their grief.

We must use all possible means to help them and convince them that abandoning that defeatist and pitiful attitude is the most beneficial. But once we have left our fight and effort in the attempt to subtract darkness, if it is not possible to achieve it, then: stop fighting, abandon the fight, it will be your choice and not yours.
