Knock Knock!!! Are we all obsessive  compulsive?

Among the most common anxiety disorders today, we find OCD: (obsessive-compulsive disorder).

Leave us, obsessions and compulsions take over our mind in the form of incoherent thoughts and images and adopting repetitive and methodical behaviors without being able to resist stopping them. They are frequent obsessions, the fear of harming others, of being carriers of uncontrollable aggression, fear of enduring household catastrophes, or towards their relatives, of suffering from diseases, of becoming contaminated in daily life.

Likewise, washing your hands repetitively, closing the door several times, knocking on the same object many times, ordering, accumulating food, and equipment, praying intensely, are clear indications of being dominated by compulsion. Variable manifestations of TOC:

1) Checkers
They inspect all their actions trying to avoid catastrophes.

2) Cleaners
Obsessed with dirt, they try to avoid it at all costs.

3) Reiterative
His actions are infinitely repetitive.

4) Accumulators
They collect all kinds of objects without being able to abandon any of them.

5) Pure obsessives
They feed on pessimistic thoughts repeatedly, and in a terribly disturbing way.

6) Computers
All objects are ordered in a particular way and according to rigid standards. They are people who always stay alert and focused. They need to control everything, from their emotions and attitudes to the feelings of others. Their behavior is subject to firm and strict moral rules that make them inflexible. Every decision they make has to be strictly analyzed and perfect.

And that unattainable quest for perfection forces them to be hesitant. Therefore, they stop sometimes and are not able to live a normal life for fear of being wrong. An uncertain future and imperfections generate anxiety and despair. Well, the biggest drama for them is to fail. Absolutely vulgar and common situations are evaluated by them as authentic catastrophes. They are terribly critical and blame themselves for fighting and achieve their ideal of perfection.

His thinking is clearly dichotomous: "or all or nothing," or "black or white." They are overly anxious about details, rules, organization. Work excessively absorbs your life and never delegate tasks. Economically, they are excessively careful, they are forced to have savings inquisitively since they do not know what the future may hold for them and must assume that risk. The treatment consists of cognitive-behavioral therapy and in some situations psychiatric assessment.
